All of us at BlueDog wanted to take a moment to say thank you to our clients for a great 2020, and talk about what we have in store for 2021.
2020 has not been the most positive year for many people, and we had to make a lot of changes to our programs to accommodate state law and regulations regarding reducing the spread of COVID-19, including introducing virtual training classes via Zoom. While we’re still feeling the ramifications of the pandemic, as many people are, and still operating with reduced class sizes, we’re starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully in 2021!
We’ve had a lot of fun walking and playing with your dogs, and hope to continue doing so into 2021. For your viewing pleasure, we thought we’d share some of our 2020 dog walks with you!
Onward to 2021…
This new year, we’re welcoming another location. With the shuttering of our North Andover location, we needed to find a new spot that is both convenient and easy for our clients. We’re welcoming our new location in South Lawrence, located at 160 Winthrop Avenue, Suite 13, and we’re excited to see both new and existing BlueDog clients at our new facility soon, Monday through Saturday! You can find us right off Route 495, across from Bulger’s Animal Hospital and Starbucks. We will, of course, be keeping our Andover location as well!
Puppy Day School
At our new location BlueDog will begin offering Puppy Day School!
Kim has owned and trained many puppies to adulthood, whelped and raised litters, and taught puppy classes for almost 10 years. With all of that experience, plus countless hours of education, she has created a program that will provide your puppy with the most well-rounded education and socialization that he can get! Our Puppy Day School with help him grow up to be a confident, happy and well-mannered member of your family and will provide you the convenience of receiving professional help in raising your puppy.
There is SO much we are going to be able to offer with this service and it is truly a dream come true to finally be able to provide puppy day training to the Andover area!
Fear Free Husbandry Training
BlueDog will also be offering Fear Free Husbandry Training at our new location!
We will have a bathtub, grooming table, and basic supplies which will provide an area representative of a grooming shop and veterinary hospital. With our continued education in fear-free husbandry, we will help your dog learn to be comfortable and happy with any of the handling and grooming that he will experience at home, at the groomer’s, and at the veterinary hospital. If you have a dog who runs away from the bathtub, cowers at the vet’s office, or won’t let you clip his nails, we are here to help. Though we won’t be offering actual grooming services, we will teach your dog not only to tolerate, but actually enjoy any handling needs!
This will also be a regular part of any puppy day school student’s education, so your BlueDog-trained puppy will simply grow up loving their groomer and vet!

We are working hard to bring even more class opportunities to you and your pup including advanced classes, introduction to sports, a Control Unleashed program by a certified CU instructor, classes focused on behavioral issues, therapy dog classes, and more! And of course we will continue to offer our amazing dog training membership program at the same great value.
As always, our phenomenal training team continues to put education first and despite the pandemic, we are hard at work learning the newest, most progressive training techniques with a 100% focus on positive reinforcement!
We hope to offer new ways for you to continue training your dog, no matter his or her age or breed. Here’s to 2021 and what we hope to see for positive changes in the upcoming year!
