Bridget is originally from Tewksbury MA and has always been what could be described as an “animal person”. She has owned many pets in her lifetime from cats, dogs, rats, mice, hamsters, ferrets, doves, and chickens. In 2001, she began training dogs professionally and in 2008 she co-founded and operated Family Dog Training with Paul Emerson, CPDT-KA until Paul’s retirement in 2018. Her training passion has always been focused on enabling clients to successfully share their lives with dogs via positive reinforcement training methods.

While working with dogs professionally, and earning certifications, Bridget also worked in the Pharma and Medical Device industry and completed a Masters in Regulatory Affairs in 2012. She left the industry in 2022 to pursue dog training full time.

Bridget developed a passion for training while working with her first Border Collie, Zydeco. Over the years she has owned additional Border Collies, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She now owns and breeds Japanese Chins. She currently shares her home with 4 Chins (Kabuki, Mochi, Bento and Kodama) and one CKCS, Poppy.

During her free time, she relaxes with her husband by watching movies, documentaries, and playing video games. She is an avid consumer of information and almost always has an audiobook or documentary running on her headset.
