She specializes in teaching Control Unleashed and ACE Free Work with private clients, teaches a high volume of in-person CU classes, and is an instructor at the Fenzi Dog School Academy. We’re going to take a deep dive into the Control Unleashed skills that work best for our big feelings dogs. In addition to addressing general calming techniques and patterns and take a look at lifestyle and environment, we will also tackle the complex CU skill of Look At That (LAT).

Ready to take your CU skills on the road? Welcome to I CU in the Real World: Advancing Your Control Unleashed Skills! This class will build on all previous CU classes. Gold students will have the opportunity to address challenges specific to their own dogs to work on throughout the 6 weeks. We will also dive deeper into CU concepts, start to bring patterns together to build routines, decrease reinforcement, and dive into advanced concepts like Voluntary Sharing, Requested Approach Training, and LATTE (Look At That, Then Enrichment.) This class is ideal for any team who has already taken a previous CU class and is ready to bring their skills into the big wide world!

Bring the power of Control Unleashed into your training with this deep dive into CU Pattern Games! Control Unleashed is a program that was founded by Leslie McDevitt to help dogs adapt to and live comfortably in our big crazy world whether they’re a family dog, a sport dog, or a working dog. Patterns allow a dog to use voluntary behaviors to initiate asimple, repetitive chain that creates a predictable pattern. This will help to normalize the environment and allow the dog to process information from the safety of the pattern.
This class runs from December 1, 2025 to January 11, 2026. Registration opens November 22, 2025.
Private Online Coaching with Kim
BlueDog offers online private coaching with owner/professional dog trainer Kim Palermo CPDT-KA CCUI. Online private coaching allows you to work on specific training goals from the comfort of your home, with continuous online support from Kim.
How does it work?
You will start an email thread with Kim providing her with your goals and specific skills that you would like to work on. Kim will use the information you provide to choose your first lessons. The lessons will be a combination of written and video tutorials that you’ll use to train your dog at home, videotaping your sessions and sending them to Kim for feedback. Additionally you will be able to ask written questions whenever you feel you need assistance. She will answer your questions and provide additional lessons as you progress. You can post daily, or less frequently, depending on your needs.
All communication will be done via email and Kim will keep track of the time spent reviewing and writing back. Kim provides feedback Monday through Friday and occasional weekend days.
$150 for 1 hour of feedback *expires after 3 months
