Carla is originally from Portugal and is currently working as a School Social Worker. She holds her Masters degree in Social Work and her professional LCSW license.
Carla has always had a love for dogs and would often be found playing fetch with the neighbors dogs growing up. She adopted her first rescue dog named Jake when she moved out on her own. In 2014, Carla met her husband and his beautiful Golden Retriever Casey. Jake and Casey sparked Carla’s curiosity about dog behavior. They lost Jake after 13 wonderful years this summer and Carla decided to take her desire to train dogs to the next level. She contacted Kim at Blue Dog and enrolled in the Master’s program at CATCH Canine Academy to become a Certified Dog Trainer! Carla and her family recently welcomed another rescue pup to the family named Mia. Mia is a SATO rescue from Puerto Rico and is enrolled as a student at Blue Dog!
When Carla’s not learning about dogs or training Mia, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends!
